Hangiri (半切)

Abbreviation for hangiribakama. While shaped similarly to ōkuchibakama, Hangiri are made kinran fabric and often include larger, bolder patterns. Also called hangire, Hangiri are worn by strong characters such as demons, gods and warriors. Tatami straw is often used in the rear of the Hakama to give it volume.
