Shikkō (膝行)

One of the forms in Noh and kyōgen. The kneecaps are place on the floor and moved forward and backward. Shikkō is also the name of a kogaki, and the kogaki for example in the Noh play Yuya, indicates that a shikko is to be performed when the shite, Yayu, gives a strip of paper to the waki, Taira no Munemori.
