Tachimawari (立廻リ)

One type of hatarakigoto (the accompaniment of hayashi to movements with a certain meaning). The performers move quietly around the stage while expressing emotions, and the expression of the form can change depending on the play. This is completely different from the kirikumi, which two swords are drawn and meet. Large and small tachimawari performed with the flute, kotsuzumi and ōtsuzumi appear in plays such as Kayoimachi and Hyakuman, and tachimawari that include the taiko include Yamanbo and Akogi.
