Sagarihanomai (下リ端之舞)

One type of dance in Noh. Sagarihanomai is danced by the atozure/tennyo in Kuzu. Sagarihanomai is typically performed by the shite or tsure as an entrance dance, but in Kuzu, the maejite/old person and maetsure/old woman enters with the sagariha hayashi, and then the atotsure and tennyo enter as if to take their place, and continue dancing the sagariha hayashi. As the sagariha music is repeated numerous times, it may be changed to gaku. It is a taiko-mono performed with instruments including the flute, kotsuzumi, ōtsuzumi and taiko.
