Dashioki (出シ置)

Dashioki refers to when the actors quietly appear from the curtain to take their designated places on stage following the stage entrance of the hayashikata and jiutai after the start of a Noh performance. It can also refer to these actors. In other performance arts such as kabuki, itatsuki is where the actors are already on stage when the curtain rises, a performance style nearly identical to dashioki.
