Su-utai-ōgi (素謡扇)

A fan used for su-utai (vocals without hayashi). It is a type of shizume-ōgi but slightly smaller (for the Kanze School, a shimai-ōgi is about 33.3 cm, while a su-utai-ōgi is about 27.3 cm long). In recent years, a shimai-ōgi is often used as a su-utai-ōgi. Since the structure is the same, a su-utai-ōgi may be used by younger children if a shimai-ōgi is too big for them.
