Koutabushi (小歌節)

In kyōgen, adding the verses of the Kouta popular in the middle ages to where the words, or Kotoba would be. or, those verses. Koutabushi are performed in kyōgen plays such as Tsurigitsune and Kobu-Uri, in which they are added to the call of a dried kelp (kobu) merchant: “Enjoy kobu, enjoy kobu, enjoy kobu, wonderful kobu from the beach of Wakasa/i>.”
