A type of kuribakama worn by characters of the highest status, the sashinuki is often given a sack-like appearance by folding the long train up within the garment and adjusting its length with an attached string. Borrowed from yusoku costumes for use in Noh costumes, sashinuki are often purple or light-green and include yusoku patterns. To add form and volume, komi-ōkuchi are often worn underneath sashinuki.
