A form in Noh and kyōgen. In the kasumi no ōgi, or “mist fan” form, the hinge of the opened fan is held between the thumb and other four fingers of the opened right hand, then slowly lowered from the upper part of the right shoulder to in front of the chest. This is often combined with changes in the angle of the body and several steps forward. While the form is used to depict mist, it can also symbolize the movement of wind depending on the play.
