A type of wakanmuriheadwear, Ryūdai is worn by actors playing ryūjin, a dragon god. The symbol of a dragon, cut from a flat piece of leather and painted, is attached to the front of the wakanmuri crown. Ryūdai is used by nochishite, a lead role appearing in the later part of a play, such as in Chikubu-jima, Kasuga Ryūjin and Tamanoi.
