A style of wearing kimono. In this style, a man wears a short-sleeved kimono (kosode) with a rich brocade or embroidery and foiling but not hakama trousers such as ōkuchi (hakama with broad cuffs) or hangiri (ōkuchi with gorgeous patterns). It is a way of wearing kimono with the lower part around the legs. When kimono is worn with hakama trousers, it looks dignified; without hakama, it looks slender and delicate.
