Nagoya Noh Theatre (名古屋能楽堂)

A city-funded Noh theatre that opened in Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture in front of the main entrance of Nagoya Castle in April 1997. In addition to around ten regular yearly performances, there are also many performances held by Noh masters. The kensho (audience seating) holds 630. Regular performances include both Japanese and English audio service with earphones, a favorite among those seeing Noh for the first time. There are two types of pine trees used in the kagami ita the “young pine” and “old pine,” which are changed yearly.
