Type of Noh costume. A kosode (a type of kimono) made of a dignified fabric (shiro-neri) using refined white silk threads. The fabric has a beautiful lustre. Depending on the role, shiro-neri and shiro-aya may be used together, or they may include patterns with different lustres due to weaving in shiro-neri. Used for roles of ordained men. A type of awase (kimono with a lining).
